Tuesday 20 January 2009 at the House of Commons - Douglas Carswell MP for Harwich and a member of the House of Commons’ Children, Schools & Families Select Committee, spoke about what a Conservative Education Policy should be.
Monday 11 May 2009 at the House of Commons - Maria Miller MP for Basingstoke and Shadow Minister for the Family, spoke about Early Years Policy.
Saturday 27 June 2009 at Conservative HQ - Julia Young of the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys spoke about the Trust’s education work, and CES Treasurer and former Headmaster, Chris Everest, led a discussion on the new Diplomas.
Tuesday 6 October 2009 Fringe Meeting at the Conservative Party Conference - Dr John Dunford, General Secretary of the Association of School & College Leaders, spoke on “Exam results getting better - how can we tell?”
